Why Local Honey?
Not all honey is created equal
Most honey travels hundreds of miles before it reaches you. Bee Happy Honey travels a few. Here's why that matters.
Giving Back
50% of every sale goes to Hives for Heroes, a nonprofit that pairs military veterans with beekeeping mentors. Every jar helps a veteran find their next mission in the hive.
Hyper-Local Flavor
Our bees forage among Greenwich's own wildflowers, clover, and backyard gardens, creating a flavor you simply can't find anywhere outside the tri-state area.
Raw & Unfiltered
We never heat our honey above hive temperature, so the enzymes, pollen, and natural goodness stay fully intact from hive to jar.
Not What's in Stores
Most grocery-store honey is imported from overseas and heavily processed, and some contains no real honey at all. Ours comes straight from our hives, with nothing added and nothing removed.

Our Story
It started with two hives and too much honey
How a Greenwich backyard turned into a small local honey company, and why half of every jar goes to veterans.
The beginning
A backyard, by accident
Bee Happy Honey started the way most good things do, by accident. A couple of hives in a Greenwich backyard became four, then five. Suddenly there was more honey than any one family could eat.
So we started giving jars to neighbors. They loved it. They told friends. Those friends asked where to buy it. That's when we realized Greenwich needed its own local honey, and we were already making it.

Founder
I never planned to start a honey company. It began with a couple of hives in a Greenwich backyard, kept mostly out of curiosity about the bees. Five hives later, there was more honey than we could ever eat, so we gave it to neighbors, and they kept asking for more.
That's really all Bee Happy Honey is: local honey from our own hives, shared with the people around us. Today, half of every sale goes to Hives for Heroes, and some of my favorite days are the ones spent showing kids how a hive actually works.
